The same page, rewritten by our pipeline. Drag the divider to see every speech bubble's original Chinese versus the HSK-3 rewrite.

  • Meaning preserved. The story still lands. Characters say the same thing, just in words you know.
  • Vocab dropped, not flattened. Tone, urgency, and feeling stay intact.
  • Art untouched. Only the dialogue bubbles change. Panels, expressions, layout stay exactly as the artist drew them.
How it works

Three steps. Sixty seconds.

No app to install. No account. Just a chapter URL and a level.

STEP 01

Paste a chapter URL

Any major webtoon site works: Bilibili Manga, Webtoons CN, KuaiKan. The whole chapter, page numbers and all.

STEP 02

Pick your HSK level

1 to 4. The text gets rewritten using only words within that level. Anything above gets replaced with something you know.

STEP 03

Read it rewritten

Tap any word for pinyin and meaning. Toggle back to the original any time. Save unknown words to flashcards in one tap.

Choosing your level

What HSK 1–4 actually means.

Based on the official HSK 3.0 (2021) syllabus. If you've never taken the test, here's a real-world sense of each tier. When in doubt, start one level below where you think you are. Tap a card to start at that level.

HSK 3.0 reorganized the syllabus in 2021. These counts come from the official PRC standard.

Why readers stick with it

Built for the moment you almost quit.

Most learners stall in the same place: when "real" content feels impossibly hard. This is the bridge. Real stories, in vocabulary you've already earned.

"First time I've read a Chinese chapter for fun and not for homework. I've been stuck at HSK 3 for months. This is the bridge I needed."

L Lee · HSK 3 learner

"I was skeptical an AI rewrite would butcher the meaning. It doesn't. The simpler version still feels like the same conversation."

L Li · Native Chinese speaker

FAQ

Common questions.

If something isn't covered here, drop a note on feedback. Answers go straight to me.

What manga sites does this work on? +

Any URL with scrollable manga. That's the only requirement. Most webtoon hosts work out of the box.

A few sites won't load, usually because they have download protections on their images. If yours doesn't work, send the URL via feedback and I'll see if it can be added.

Can I share this with my students? +

Yes. It's designed for exactly that. HSK Manga isn't a teaching tool; it's a reading tool for students to use on their own time, with content they actually care about. Share the link with your class and let them pick their own manga.
